PEG Feeding

Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) is an endoscopic medical procedure in which a tube (PEG tube) is passed into a patient stomach through the abdominal wall, most commonly to provide a means of feeding when oral intake is not adequate (for example, because of dysphagia or sedation). This course equips you with the knowledge and skills to support the patient with feeding. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to: Use formula Give feeds using tubes Learn correct feeding positions Give continuous feeding with a pump Care for the equipment Give medicine through feeding tubes Understand feeding tube complications
